Originally from Las Vegas and affectionately dubbed the “human karaoke system” by her older brother, Kailey took to the stage from an early age, using a butcher block in her family’s kitchen as a platform to perform for guests at her parents’ occasional dinner parties. Hoping to appease her constant begging for voice lessons, Kailey’s mom put her in the church choir, where her love for music continued to grow. But it was an open call audition for the American Girl store in Los Angeles that set the wheels for a career in entertainment in motion. “I begged my mom to take me to that audition. While I was too young to get the part the first time, the director followed us out and encouraged me to come back and audition again the next year.” She did just that, and was cast in the store’s variety show. “We drove back and forth from Las Vegas to Los Angeles every week so I could perform in the show. It was a lot, but I loved it. Eventually, my family picked up and moved to Los Angeles”

Throughout the years, Kailey has been a part of many notable productions including starring as a soloist at Joe’s Pub for the new musical O BABY MINE. Some credits include Gypsy as Dainty June, Kristin in the workshop of the new musical Bergeracky, Josie in Bend in the Road at the Pasadena Playhouse, Debby in Big the Musical, Gloria in Wait Until Dark with Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities, Laura in the American Girl Revue at the American Girl Place LA, Young Estella in Great Expectations and Holly in Yo Ho Ho a Pirate’s Christmas. Kailey’s TV/film credits include Disney’s Kickin It and Special Agent Oso, The Wheels on the Bus where she was a featured soloist, The Frolic, Wreck the Halls, Lovin Lakin and the Sundance award winning horror musical The Legend of Beaver Dam

During the ebb and flow of auditions, Kailey followed the music where it led her which happened to be songwriting and country music. Kailey Nicole has developed an impressive repertoire of songs and loves blending her roots of musical theatre into the storytelling that is so necessary for country music. On the other side of her acting work, Kailey was spending her spare time doing her chores and listening to country music with her grandmother. It came as no surprise that when she began writing songs that country music came so naturally to her. During 2020, Kailey made the choice to move to Nashville which has led to the release of “Is It Just Me” written by Dave Turnbull (Where the Wild Things Are - Luke Combs, Here on Earth - Tim Mcgraw, Based on a True Story - Blake Shelton) and Kat Higgins ( Leather - Cody Johnson, Storyteller - Carrie Underwood, Here and Now - Kenny Chesney). Kailey’s next song is releasing February 16th and was written by Madeline Merlo (Same Car, It Didn't, Slide), Emma-Lee (Mickey Guyton, Mitchell Tenpenny, Madeline Edwards), and Bobby Campbell (A Star is Born). Along with having the honor of bringing these songs to life, Kailey has also released almost 20 songs that she is a featured writer on.

As a proud alum of USC’s Thornton School of Music, Kailey is devoted to being the best performer she can be in all realms. Her charismatic energy, enthusiasm and talent have allowed her to cultivate a genuine fanbase and set the stage for a promising career in entertainment.
